Day 2 of the conference started with a bang. 2 of our most prestigious partners, Sonja Daniels, VP of Campus Life at San Jose State University, and Eddie Howard, VP of Student Affairs at Youngstown State University, held session on their experience with the Ready Education platform. Having adopted the mobile platform 2 years ago, they spoke of why they decided to adopt a mobile platform, the success they have had so far, the lessons they have learned, and what they have planned for the next few years. The audience was captivated for the entire session and stuck around for an extensive Q&A that ran beyond its prescribed time, with many people staying behind to talk to the speakers after the session was over.

With the first set of sessions over, many participants flocked to the exhibitor hall to engage with the exhibitors. The Ready Education team connected with numerous attendees, discussing various topics such as student-success, enrolment and retention difficulties, communication, and engagement. From our conversations, it was very clear that institutions are facing similar issues when it comes to these topics. Today’s students simply don’t read their emails. Rather, they want information to be personalized and instantly available to them on their mobile devices. With traditional methods of communication proving to be ineffective and inefficient, institutions need to change how they engage with today’s generation.

After lunch, Tristan Stewart (Senior Account Executive) took the stage in the exhibitor hall to explore the concept of a unified Campus Solution Center with the packed room. Given what we know about Generation-Z, having several, disparate systems on campus isn’t ideal. What today’s students want is a one-stop-shop for all their educational needs. Tristan discussed how the Ready Education platform aims to provide students with this single solution, and how institutions can improve their engagement and student success efforts by adopting such a platform.

In classic Gen-Z fashion, a few attendees participated in a draw to win an Amazon Echo at the Ready Education booth. And don’t worry, if you didn’t get a chance to come by our booth today, we’ll be conducting another draw tomorrow!

With another busy day at the LA convention center behind us, the Ready Education team headed to Barcito, a swanky LA resto-bar for an intimate cocktail hour. The Ready Education Partner-Social featured good food & drinks, great conversations, and amazing partners!

We are grateful to every one of our partners who were able to make it, and we missed everyone who couldn’t. We certainly hope to see you at our next event!
